A new section dedicated to Orange, Organic and Natural wines.
Orange wines are white wines which have had skin contact, meaning the skin and juice is married together for anywhere between a few days a months to create an altogether different drinking experience.
Some orange wines are also stored in clay pots are buried in the earth for extra funky maturation.
We see less use of yeast in many cases and little or no sulphates.
Both Orange wines and natural wines are, for me, a more basic approach to wine making, think of these wines as you would a cask strength whisky with no added stuff and you’ll get my meaning.
At the moment I have but three reviews as Orange Wine is expensive, as are most natural wines, but I will add one or two a month with the aim of spreading the word of these wonderful bottles.
